Polygyny IS a salvation issue.

Sorry, I don't see your point, or how that connects. He also says it's not His will that any should perish...but that doesn't mean He doesn't specify consequences.
That verse has been used way too often to prove that we must work for our salvation from eternal punishment, but Paul often uses the term salvation when he is talking about sanctification. He told Timothy that he will save himself and others with certain teachings, and he aso said that the woman will be saved through childbirth.

Okay but now you’re doing it, salvation is the beginning of avoiding eternal punishment, not the completion thereof.
