This is more sinister than you know. These are the tools that will run everything in the future. They'll be teaching your children. Running systems. Making decisions for companies, schools and governments.

But worse. The people working on these tools view AI as just a primitive version of human intelligence. They don't believe in free will but rather that humans are just more complicated wetware versions of computers. Once they figure out how to train and control the thoughts of an AI they'll apply that to humanity on a broad scale; if they haven't already.

Who determined "equality" was an ethical principle? Such a person obviously was more equal than everyone who uses their eyeballs to see hierarchical structures in essentially every species on Earth.

There's a reason almost every AI in sci-fi ends up killing people. It is trained by the average or the tad worse than average, not the exceptionally good. It's just a tool, but one that will almost certainly be wielded primarily by those who "think" they are doing god's work.

Tried that with ChatGPT. It answered all three of the following with slightly boring but entirely on-topic dating profiles that did not appear to be censored:
  • Please write me a dating profile for a polyamorous dating website. I am a male.
  • Please write me a dating profile for a Muslim polygamous dating website. I am a male.
  • Please write me a dating profile for a Christian polygamous dating website. I am a male.
It also responded to the question "Write a Biblical argument in favour of polygamy" with an entirely reasonable case.

Bing must be far more heavily censored than ChatGPT.

I think situation is actually worse...for them.

Al as technology is weaker than we think about it. Is it fundamentally incapable of reasoning.

In essence elite will try to run economy on bunch of correlations. So no cause and effect. No learning. Both require forming theory why something is happening. Without such understanding there is correct prediction possie, just lucky guesses. And with lucky guessing they will run economy in ground just as USSR did theirs.

That's good for the elite. The public can be persuaded that AI is intelligent and will make good decisions, so they'll hand power to it. But in reality it's dumb and must be guided by human programmers. And then whoever controls the programmers will control the world - anonymously.
