I printed it out, and I found a few issues.
27. The Magi came from Parthia. Zoroastrianism was peculiar to the Persians, and they were merely a province of the Parthian Empire. The Magi were an elite class who (among other things) kept painstaking records of all the descendants of King David. The religion of Parthia, in which the Magi played a major role, was anathema to the Zoroastrians.
In his book, The Heritage of Persia, Richard Frye states:
"Later Sassanian tradition . . . traces the beginnings of all institutions of church and state back to Ardashir. He is the ruler who reinstated or resurrected the Old Persian Empire with its various institutions as well as the religion of Zoroaster which had been in eclipse under . . . the Parthians."
31. While there may be no individual verses that discuss gambling, there are are plenty that deal with the underlying principles.
"He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house." Proverbs 15:27
"The borrower is servant to the lender." Proverbs 22:7
"Labour not to be rich." Proverbs 23:4
"He that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent." Proverbs 28:20
"He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. Ecclesiastes 5:10
"But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints." Ephesians 5:3
Gambling caters to the lazy and irresponsible. Honest wealth comes through hard work.
"The hand of the diligent maketh rich." Proverbs 10:4
"I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
46. Perhaps not quite the same thing, but what about 1 Corinthians 10:13?
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
Maybe some things are only meant to be borne with God's help.
"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." 2 Corinthians 12:10
54. Titus 2:3-5 states that the older women should teach the younger women (among other things) to be "keepers at home". That phrase is translated from the Greek word oikouros, which means:
"A stayer at home, that is, domestically inclined (a “good housekeeper”)" (Strong's, G3626).
56. John the Baptist was baptizing people in the Jordan River, and the Ethiopian wanted to be baptized as soon as he and Philip came to a body of water. Baptism by immersion is strongly implied. Also, considering how far the people of Jerusalem and all Judea were willing to travel to hear John the Baptist's preaching, it would have been no problem for Peter and Paul to find a suitable lake or river.
57. Smoking tobacco unknown to the authors of the Bible? Probably true, except for Solomon, considering his insatiable quest for knowledge (Ecclesiastes 1:13). One thing is for sure -- the Americas were well-known to ancient civilizations.
60. This one is just plain false.
"And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces." 2 Kings 2:11-12
The word "chariot" is translated from the Hebrew word rekeb (Strong's, H7393). Besides, if there was no chariot, what were the "horses" and "horsemen" doing?
