I didn't include Solomon though, because in times of war, when there is a severe depletion of men, well, we can look at how many children were born to the Israelis in the desert (Numbers 1 and Numbers 4), and the number of children born to Ibzan and Jair, and conclude that they had quite a few wives as well. When you yourself end up marrying someone, and you have quite a selection of families here to consider, there will be one less of you for these families to consider, seeing as you can only have one husband. In those closed organizations, young men are often expelled, at least until they return with a wife from outside the organization. In times of war however, this is not such a great concern.
