Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34: And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The LORD (Yahova) was the husband of Israel and Judah (2 wives!). They broke the covenant but Yahova makes a new covenant.

Yes, the Father in Heaven used imagery to describe himself as being married to more than one wife. When he appeared as the Son and Salvation for mankind - he also described himself going into five marriages - once again more than one wife. The Creator is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

For the christian protestants of the world - when you reject this truth - you're proving you're not sola scriptura - but you’re daughters to the catholic mother church - who also believes they have the authority to add and take away as they please.

Of course He does. He wrote a whole treatise (chapter 3) on His two wives, Israel and Judah.

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD [sic - it said 'YHVH']: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them
And that one is a primary proof text for the fact that "ALL" is not fulfilled:

It's still necessary for us to teach, 'cause they sure as heck don't "all" know Him, not by a long shot.

See also Jeremiah 33:24 and 2:2

I have mentioned this many times.. Thanks for noticing! ;)

This is one reason that I hash it out with people who want to claim that there’s only one bride the church, it’s like since when did the Church replace his other brides? News flash it doesn’t replace Israel and Judah. God keeps all his covenants not just some of them.

Oh lord, the “new covenant” passage itself is polygynous. I never made that connection.

The New Covenant is with Judah and Israel. If you are not a Hebrew, then you are grafted (mercifully) in. In other words, the historical Jew already has the truth burning inside whether or not they choose to accept is up to them. This might be an argument for Calvinism!

And another thing.....
I find in this passage (Jer 31:31ff) that the Father is doing all the promising. What is the Brides responsibility?
Now about us- what is OUR responsibility (as laid out here)?
What is the BRIDES responsibility in our collective treatise on (earthly)Polygyny?

What if this new covenant simply hasn’t been completed yet? Maybe it’s in the process of being implemented….

I agree..

It is a marriage covenant... We are still waiting for the marriage supper of the lamb... This covenant has not yet been, "consumated".

The teaching of his word from one brother to another is still continuing, the ones that he calls his own continue to fail in sin.

We must endure until the end in order to be worthy of everlasting with him....
