Beth Moore, a popular evangelical Christian and Bible teacher, says she is no longer a Southern Baptist and is parting ways with the denomination's publishing arm.

Moore disclosed her departure during a recent interview with Religion News Service.
"I am still a Baptist, but I can no longer identify with Southern Baptists," she told the news agency. "I love so many Southern Baptist people, so many Southern Baptist churches, but I don't identify with some of the things in our heritage that haven't remained in the past."
Moore retweeted a Religion News Service post about the article, and a spokesperson for Moore told CNN that her comments in that interview were all she had to say on the matter.
LifeWay Christian Resources, the publishing division of the Southern Baptist Convention, confirmed the break with Moore in a statement to CNN.

I'm so disappointed that Beth Moore would leave her church and I suspect it's pressure from the secular and heretical leftist churches that made her leave.

Beth Moore's own heretical views have led her here... not outside pressure, though no doubt the more liberal denominational dollar is singing a siren song.

Can I ask what you folks have seen with Beth that bothers you? I've taken a couple of her classes and never noticed anything.

She's been trying to convince Christians (especially women) that it's biblically acceptable for women to preach. My wife can't stand most of these women teachers (even the women's Bible studies and such) because they appeal to emotions and feelings rather than scripture. Can't say my wife's experiences are every women's experience though

If you're looking for a solid woman to listen to then I'd recommend Alisa Childers and Melissa Dougherty. They're more on the apologist side of the table, however.
I’ve not heard of Childers, but I do like some of Melissa’s content on YouTube. I’ve listened to Beth twist scripture on a number of occasions, not to mention she blatantly disobeys the commandment of Christ by teaching men.

Not to mention she blatantly disobeys the commandment of Christ by teaching men and not learning in silence.

The SBC has been full of major problems for decades now and she's chief among them.

On a brighter note, there are so few actual men anymore and they aren’t listening.

I guess that raises the question, is it wrong for her to teach them if they have no balls?
In truth, it’s probably silly to expect today’s pretense of Christlikeness to be hold to Biblical standards.

Much what she actually says if fairly unoffensive and when she was only teaching Bible studies to women I really didn’t mind her that much, she certainly wasn’t doing anywhere near the damage others were. She started essentially preaching in the assembly and that when she crossed the line for me.

Debbie Pearl, look her up. Mind bomb. That woman is amazing.
She is not pro poly, but does have a good grip on the way a woman should be.....other then the possessive fight for your man thing.;)

No one is perfect.:)

I should have pointed that out, I guess I just bake that in to most cakes. I do think even an anti-poly woman who internalized Pearl’s teaching would submit to poly. I also attribute whatever she gets wrong to her husband Michael who is something of a mixed bag.
