2018 Summer Retreat & Conference News

@rejoicinghandmaid I would love to however I haven't had an opportunity to yet.
I've looked at the instructions and hope I can navigate the system. Depending on my Monday afternoon schedule, I should be able to get home, figure out the log in, and at least try to connect this coming Monday night. If nothing else I can just listen to everyone else to get to know them. I like the idea of having time for just us girls.

Me too! I help a friend of mine on their farm this is a busy season for us. So if I make it home in time Monday I will attempt... we shall see

Thanks, Curtis. I truly am looking forward to the upcoming retreat. It is pretty obvious from reading the forums now for at least 3 months and watching the interaction between members that love and grace is definitely extended here--something that the body as a whole (those professing Christ as Saviour) seems to have forgotten, or at best have become very choosy as to whom it is granted. Joe and Charity both speak so highly of BF and its members. I'm cautiously optomistic.
Zackly! After believing and studying this subject for 33 years we were “cautiously optimistic” too going to our first retreat. That is a good thing Matthew 10:16). But if the Love is real then your fears will be diminished because fear is Love’s opposite (1John 4:18). Again, great to have you here and looking forward to the fellowship there.

Totally thinking about attending this. I'm pretty shy so this will be a huge leap for me
Great for you. You will be totally blessed. Great growth. Great learning. Great people. Great Love. Looking forward to meeting you. If you can, please bring your children. They can have fun too. Our twins weren’t real wild about it the first time, but as we were leaving (less than 1/2 mile towards home) they wanted to know when the next retreat was. :D:D:D

Nothing to be shy about. They are really a lot of fun. They are really the best thing about Biblical Families.

Sometimes I tell people that even if I did not believe in Jesus I would still be a Christian for the pot lucks.

Even if I did not support polygamy I would pretend to support it so I could go to the BF retreats.

Watch out for the football guy though.

Ours were much the same, but commented that “they really weren’t weird at all”.

This is gonna be such a great retreat. Cant wait to see you all again.

Cindy, sure hope you can come. That makes 2 of us new to this AND shy. Everyone on BF has been so welcoming and open online. I really don't expect it to be any different in person. It will be great to meet you!
We for sure have to find each other and talk! I can't wait. I'm going to talk to my kids' father and see if he can commit to taking them that weekend.

I likely won't be bringing my kids to the first one. My daughter has severe food allergies and is going through oral immunotherapy. This requires a lot of restrictions for her to prevent elevated heart rate and temps which can cause a reaction. Next year will be different though.

Do the accommodations have air conditioning and are there food options for those on low carb diets? Our daughter is on keto for epilepsy. We would love to come!
