You can't choose not to have stress. Only some situations can be seen as less stressful.
Anything perceived as danger will create stress response. Like pressing car brake to avoid hitting someone.
So if you never relax, you will accumulate such stress.

My big take away from the Roman Empire was that when Constantinople fell in 1450s (ish?) they were still appoint consuls and calling themselves Romans.
Consuls had been the nominally democratically appointed leaders of the Roman Republic, which hadn’t existed in fact since a 100 years before Christ.
But 1,500 years later people were still pretending. They had kept a name and some symbols and gradually changed everything else until the Roman Republic was a near eastern empire. That’s a terrifying realization.
In an emergency, that would be true.
The whole point of being prepared for possible emergency situations is so that you CAN experience it without excessive stress.
Being reasonably vigilant isn’t stressful.
Sticking your head in the sand is a way to stay relaxed, but one that I won’t choose.
If something were to have happened to Trump in Butler, we would now be embroiled in Civil War 2.0. I imagine the same thing will happen if Trump is taken out before his inauguration. Civil War 2.0 will trigger a sharp escalation in WWIII.
Whatever country we live in whether a kingdom, democratic, communist, dictatorship, military control, religious authority etc etc we have instructions....

I will suggest again that they saw it coming, and have plans to hang on to it.

I believe that there was a law passed about confiscation of assets in regards to activities that harmed children. I’m sure @Mark C can verify.
I do recall there being some shenanigans, but I don’t remember most of it. I was far younger - in my very early 20’s when this was going on. I do recall not being a Romney supporter until he was up against Obama, however.

But everyone should pray for discernment. Recall how trump supported the Covid vaccines. Would the Christian conservatives had taken it - in the numbers they did - if Hiliary was the president and pushed for it? I don’t believe so.

Look! I get the whole Higellian dialect, but Trump only pushed forward the idea that we were capable of producing a vaccine rapidly. AFAICR, he never actively pushed that everyone take it.
EDIT: He did take a lot of heat for promoting alternative remedies.
The last that I heard, he was still bragging about it being made under his watch.
I wish that he would distance himself from what it became. Maybe he couldn’t before the election, and maybe he still can’t because they would use that to attempt to prove him unfit.

Maybe he simply got it wrong. Fine. But because of his support - many conservative Christians took the jab. This simply shows how much pull trump has over his supporters - which has only increased since after the assassination attempt.
If Hiliary was president during covid - and she was promoting the vaccine - would the republicans had taken it? I very much doubt it. But with trump in office - they were able to convince both sides to take it.

It was one of many major mistakes he made during that aborted first term. Staffing, in almost every respect, was another major failure. And he has NEVER been a 'constitutionalist'.
But we'll shortly see whether or not he has truly learned some lessons.
Meanwhile, AmeriKa has a brief (perhaps VERY brief...) reprieve. That, too, will become clear as the riots ensue.
Do you have any hard data on how many Trump supporters took the vaccine? Is this just wild speculation on your part?
I don’t have any hard data. I know from my memory in 2020/2021 - the republicans were doing a great job taking the vaccine as well (at least one shot). They still lagged behind the democrats.
