The Holy Spirit and King David

Mark 12:36
For David himself, speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.’

David was a righteous man with several wives, and the Holy Spirit dwelled with him. The Holy Spirit did not convict him of being in sinful unions, but instead he was declared righteous:

1 Kings 15:5
For David had done what was pleasing in the LORD’s sight and had obeyed the LORD’s commands throughout his life, except in the affair concerning Uriah the Hittite.

Interesting: A man with more than one wife is good for the Holy Spirit to dwell in, but for most Christians it’s not. But they all claim to follow the Holy Spirit. Is the Holy Spirit divided upon itself? Or is the Spirit most are following something else?

Remember my post about the difference between God's Laws and the laws of men? God's Laws are true across time while the laws of men can be rendered obsolete. They are also apparent to those who would open their eyes.

Isaiah 46:4 states "Even to your old age, I will be the same, and I will bear you up when you turn gray."

If God blessed a man with many wives then having many wives was not a sin. Saying that it is a sin is a creation of men and not God because God is the same in this age and the past.

Yes, but that applies to all of his instructions. Just because some instructions are not currently applicable - doesn’t mean they were man made.

Here is a verse telling us what David got wrong. I find it interesting because numbering the people is something he did....and one account says satan caused him to do that....the other account says YHWH caused David to number the people.
This indicates it was YHWH to me.

"Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite."

Now please show me at what point did an immortal and immutable God Almighty change His mind?

And note that saving Lot in Sodom was not an instance of God changing His mind but of God responding to a supplication for mercy.

There is a third temple when Messiah rules over the earth. Burnt offerings will return.
