Home Retreats and Local Groups Upcoming Retreats 2025

If you haven't been to a Biblical Families retreat before, here's a bit of what you can expect:  time for everyone to share with the group their 'story': who they are, why they are here, and where God has been leading them.  We have Christ-followers from all backgrounds join us at retreats, so you don't need to worry about your background or journey - we've been shown a lot of grace by the Father, so we have a lot of grace for others.   There will also be time a lot of group discussion - especially around our culture and Biblical patriarchal living.   There will also be discussion of plural marriage - both the Biblical case for it, and what it means to live it practically in our modern world.   Typically less than half of families at retreats are already plural, and some others - though not all - are considering.   You certainly do not have to be considering plural marriage to attend a retreat - but an agreement that God's order as revealed in the Word is patriarchal, and that plural marriage is acceptable in that order, is our common ground, after the Gospel.  We will also have a session of separate men's and women's groups - important discussions often happen in these.  Often we will have a speaker as well for at least one session.  There will also be some worship (sometimes live music, sometimes recorded), time for prayer, and of course a lot of time for fellowship and relationship building.   We are pretty informal, and our goal is to have everyone relaxed and given a chance to participate - many people who attend have limited options for fellowship elsewhere, and this is an important purpose for our retreats.   If you have any questions at all, just ask: retreats@biblicalfamilies.org, or you can ask others in our forum.

Atlanta, GA retreat - April 11th-13th, 2025

Next retreat is coming up quick!  This retreat will be east of downtown, in a nice hotel.  Jacob Foulk will be joining us again, and we expect this retreat to kick off a local Georgia group, that will be meeting on a regular basis.  But you are welcome to join us from anywhere - flights to Atlanta are often cheap, check now.   For retreat details, write retreats@biblicalfamilies.org.

PNW retreat, central Washington - May 16th-18th, 2025

This will be our only West coast retreat this year, and we know we have many people in the West that we haven't met yet.   So if you are out west and want to meet some like-minded patriarchal families, regardless of your family size, write now for details on this retreat.  Our hotel location is southeast of Yakima, WA - a reasonable-driving location from Portland, Seattle, and all parts of Idaho.  Those flying in can chose Seattle, Portland, or Spokane, but will need a ride or rental car.   We have plans to keep the West coast folks more involved going forward, and we'd love for you to be involved in this retreat.  Please write now if you'd like to received the retreat details:  retreats@biblicalfamilies.org.
