The brain, it doesn't work well.

Ladies, ever feel like you know know you're forgetting something, but for the life of you can't remember what it was. Yeah. Me too.
This week I have forgotten about Ladies night, a baby shower, to put the left overs away, switch over the laundry, run the dishwasher, and to pick up the dog food. It's only Tuesday.
I'm laughing at myself, making a list of things I need from the store knowing full well I will probably forget said list at home.
Sometimes we just need to take a minute, get a cup of coffee or tea, and relax. I do so much better when I quiet my mind, and just relax.
What do you ladies do to relax?

Lol, sounds like me!
Firstly, any chance you're pregnant? Or, are you low in iron? Because those two things will mess up your brain ha ha.
Grocery list: Samuel and I have an app on our phones. We type in the shopping list as needed and it comes up on both phones. Samuel can cross it off when he gets it at the shop, and I can add stuff while he's in there too. Unless you forgot your phone, you won't forget your list!

What do I do to relax? Definitely a cup of tea, a shower (gone are the days of soaking in a bath!), and watching trash on TV. Praying doesn't relax me. I was thinking it should be on the list, but that's not the effect it has on me. It makes me happy, and it can make me anxious and worried.

Hopefully you remember the chat next week!

Lol I wish I could get pregnant. I want more kids. It is very possible I'm low in iron though. I've been go go go, and haven't been eating as much iron rich foods. I love kale. Yum.
Oh my goodness! What is the name of the app? I need to get it. I think it'll help.
Haha no bathes here either. There is no time! lol I completely understand the praying. It can make me anxious, because I get to think about everything going on.
Thanks! I hope so too. I really want to connect with all of you ladies.

Haha yup I am the same! I have a calendar book in my purse and I take make appointments on my phone's calendar to try to help me keep everything organized. It can be a feat.

I would like the app also @FollowingHim2! I'm alsways forgetting my list! I love that you both can see and delete and add items!

For relaxing I like to read. I do like to watch a little TV (apparently an ISFJ favorite pastime lol). I find for my overall mood shui it's better if I pray. I believe I heard Derek Prince talk about praying and helped me keep on track while I pray so I don't get anxious. I just try to keep focused on God being in control of everything and speaking positively instead of letting my prayers become weak whines (totes not implying that's what you two are doing - just what I've had to do to feel better when praying. :) )

I also have given up coffee (for the time anyway) to help me relax. Instead I've been drinking caffeine free lemon ginger tea or sleepy time tea. :)

I also thought maybe fish oil too. I just realised I haven't been taking my fish oil tablets (I don't eat fish) and that's probably contributing to my terrible brain right now.

For relaxing I like to read.
Lol, me too, but once I start reading I don't stop, and then I don't get any sleep or anything done around the house. Must learn how to limit myself. Actually, the best way I've found of stopping myself doing something is getting Samuel to tell me I'm not allowed to do it. Like his father at the moment has puppies, and I so badly want a puppy (I absolutely can not handle a puppy right now, no way no how!) so I told Samuel to tell me I'm not allowed a puppy. Problem solved he he.

Oh my gosh I so relate to this! I've done very similar things both in staying up too late reading and wanting Slumberfreeze to help me get over (and sometimes out of lol) something by saying I can't. I know moderation is hard for me too lol. :)

Can I just say ditto to everything that was said above. My brain is a total mush pot usually.

But, my husband has been having me get up early in the mornings for the last month or so. As much as I hate mornings it has actually worked. I have a good half hour or so to wake up myself before the kids get up and then, while they are getting up I make “The List”. It is an ever changing list covering all my thoughts, what I need to shop for, who needs what for homeschool, people I need to call, send flowers, cards, letters too, things I want to talk to my hunny about. Etc. everything goes on there. It has really helped with my crazy fog brain and let me relax and focus on the immediate important moment at hand. In the evening when things are calming down or I get a lull in my day I can go over it, add too, or take away. This is my list at the moment. Excuse the spelling and grammar it was dictated while I was driving to pottery class this morning via Bluetooth.

Oh @Littles , I totally agree! I wake up about two hours before the kids get up and that time really does help me. I get to have a morning cuppa in peace and pray and sometimes squeeze in a workout. I love that time and it totally helps me to have a better day. Sometimes I do sleep in and it is like I can feel the day's chances of being positive going down lol because now I'm behind on time. Love the list that you made, that's a great idea to dicate into your bluetooth! And wow your dinners sound great! And what is a pomegranate festival? That sounds amazing, those are some of my favorite fruits!!

@RainyLondonFog
Yes!!! Waking up late makes my whole day a big mess.

We just got done with dinner today and I will admit it was delicious!! And I added in Peach shortcake with maple pecan syrup for dessert !! Yum!!

The Pomegranate Festival is an art/handmade market that we have here every year. Our little valley has tons of pomegranates and many people make pomegranate jelly. The festival is 2 days and everything sold there has to be handmade. We haven’t done it for 2 years. We are very much looking forward to it this year. We have a blast meeting new people and selling our soaps and this year my son will be adding wood trays and such!!

Well, you ladies are making me feel a whole lot better....I thought my life was busy. :D I totally forgot about Chat last Monday and then couldn't even remember what I WAS doing Monday night instead, and it was only Wednesday. Oh well...tomorrow is a new day thankfully!
