The Art of Being Silent

I have noticed both in myself and others around me that it is hard taming the tongue. As a woman I think we have a tendency to not know when to be silent. I have seen my tendency to talk over others prevent me from truly making a connection with others. My husband will be trying to share a message from God and I have led the conversation away from the message. I have gotten better at it, but it is hard to know when to talk and when to be silent. That's interesting. My thing is I almost instantly shut up if someone interrupts me or speaks over me (same thing really). If they do it too much I simply won't waste my time talking to them anymore.

Good word, @a virtuous woman! I can completely relate. Thank God I’m not an extrovert married to an introvert. Now that would be the real challenge!
