Television shows you enjoy to watch

I never have the time or interest to watch much on television these days. But I do enjoy to watch a few programs. Two shows I always have to watch are American Pickers and Pawn Stars. There are other random shows I watch from time to time; like old cartoons and programs I used to enjoy when I was a kid or teenager. My mother and I do enjoy to watch 19 kids and counting and Sister Wives. That is pretty much what I enjoy to watch on television. What do you guys and gals enjoy to watch on television?

Well now that LOST, Battlestar Galactica (Best TV Series Ever), and 24 are off the pickings are slim. Plus i am not looking forward to any replacements, I have better things todo with my time. I like shows that grab me by the throat demand that I watch and are compelling. Battlestar Galactica fit that bill better then any show ever.

BSG: You turn it on you are moved really low then really high you are on the edge of your seat hoping for something to happen or not happen (depending on the week) you are almost exhausted from watching the show . . . then the opening credits start and you have another 36 minutes of actual show time.

I do like law and order svu and Big bang Theory and uhm Little Mosque on the Prairie (even though it is totally racist -- racist against the local hicks) . . . would like program of little shul on prairie.

I did watch Sister Wives (it was okay) and Big Love (boy do the women whine a lot). I am looking forward ot watching the Hanney Project season with Rush on it.

Since we do not have cable or dish or other such thing . . . we either buy or rent (iTunes or DVD) or watch online in some form or have friend record. The advantage here is that I/we do not watch commercials. This has been a bonus. We used to watch Star Trek: Enterprise as a family . . . we moved and it was on at midnight and we taped (VHS) it. The commercials were dreadful. I think it has been a bonus for the me and the family to not watch commercials.

I like Dexter and Conspiracy Theories. I used to really dig the Naked Archeologist but it's not included in our Dish Silver pkg. There is also a channel called Veria that was all about healthy living, herbal medicines, yoga, and the like but that's not in our current pkg. either. Most stuff bores me to death.

My wife and I watched Dexter as well.

We also watched Big Love (everyone seems to whine a lot on that one) and Sisterwives due to the whole poly thing. I like Corner Gas and also wind up watching a lot of Thomas, Dora, and Veggie Tales. My wife and I also watched through Sailor Moon and Dragonball (+Z and GT, that is a very long show)

It scares me that I do not know half of those shows. We have not had cable hooked up for over a year. It started out as a financial choice but lately we have decided that we prefer it. We get so much done without that calling to us every day. We do rent movies and stuff like that. We have enjoyed watching some TV series, like 24 and Big Love. I watch House on HULU. I thouroughly enjoyed Dancing with the stars, but had to watch it the next night so I never got to vote.

We enjoy House as well.
Some others are The Good Guys, The Mentalist, and all the Football I can catch while working on the laptop! :D

I like the show Numb3rs.

I loved Numb3ers! I was so sad when it ended last season. I really like the Scott brothers, the writers, ability to bring the importance of family into everyday life. I also like The Good Wife and Army Wives for the same reason. My favorite reality show is The Amazing Race, it is so cool to see places around the world and see how people can differ so much in handling pressure. :) For family fun you must watch Wipeout, it is painful and hilarious all at the same time!

19 kids and counting and Kate plus 8 make me so nervous that if I ever did watch an entire episode of either of them (and I probably neve will), I'd probably have to sedate myself afterwards; WAY too many kids for me to even think about!

My favorite shows consist of Biggest Loser, Desperate House Wives and now American Idol since it is back on. There are to many CSI shows on to keep up with them. Being a sports nut, that consumes a lot of my time on the television.

God Bless Everyone,

James

I like The Tudors, anything historical really, but the I am interested in the beginnings of the Protestant reformation and the eventual counter reformation.

We like Brad Meltzer's Decoded. My husband likes all chick flicks which I totally and thoroughly despise so he watches them when I'm not around. He watches the all too! DIY is quite handy (I have a running 'honey-do' list).

What a complete hoot, that your hubby likes the chick flicks!

Now, speaking for self and demonstrating an inordinate amount of balance and maturity, it's either '24,' (I yell at Jack and tell him he only has seven seconds left on his sleeper hold or Chloe will die,) or Extreme Makeover, Home Edition! (Bring me the Kleenex....sniff) ;) :P  8-)

Like I said, balance.... ;)

My hubby claims that all movies are "chick flicks" but I have trouble with that. I know you can find chick flick aspects in most movies, but I cannot call "War of the Worlds" or "Hamburger Hill" or "The Road" chick flicks.

We went without TV for a while as I thought it would be a good thing for the home. It did turn out to be a good thing. However the effect surprised me. Within days my children had switched to books and board games. I, however, went through withdrawal.

I get subjected to AX Men, Ice Road Truckers and Deadliest Catch EVERY weekend. Personally I don't see the draw of watching men saw down a forest, driving back and forth on the same road every day OR catching crabs. Maybe it's just me.

We have been without proper TV for over a year now. We watch movies. Right now we are re-watching the second season of 24. Very very intense.
I find I get much more done around the house and also am in a much better mood when I am not constantly being exposed to Television. I am working on a quilt that I had put on hold while I finished my degree. I did three blocks today.
