The bride of Christ, is like a Mandelbrot fractal set. Each set is like the whole. Each individual is a body, each local body like the collective whole body etc…

I just looked up Mandelbrot sets. Now my brain hurts. :p

Yeah, I looked it up and my brain said “You know, with the right chemicals we could enjoy this”.

If you think of it. Each set is the same in it’s individuality as it is when viewed as part of the whole. Might be a visual way to describe and explain how you personally can be a bride of Christ, and the local congregation can also be a body and bride. There could be a few people acting as feet of the body, some acting as ears. Meanwhile we have those parts ourselves.

It IS a great mystery.

I love this imagery.

God's physical signature is life, and life has incredible complexity even at tiny scales. I often wonder at the fact that the very food I eat is more intricately complex than any machine or art man could produce - yet I just chew up all that intricacy, knowing more will be made for me tomorrow. A spoonful of yoghurt is a self-replicating living ecosystem.

And somehow God cares about the toddler's bruised knee as well as the fate of nations, and we are to pray for both, asking for the same sort of help at completely different scales.

Fractals were shared here before. Completely amazing. It was said they are like looking at the creative mind of God, as the images produced are imaginary numbers.

You are already using product totaly impossible to understand for any person in all it's details: computer.

How can something what nobody can understand works: by creating abstraction layers.

This talk by industry legend is good explanation:

First 20 minutes are enough.

I like where Paul says "I betrothed you to Christ". What about Paul? Is he betrothed? Is he the bride too? Was he ever kicked out of the house? Fun questions for most people to try to grasp!
