Rewatching 'Big Love'

lol...we are also watching it. I have never seen it before, but the two of them are getting more from it with a 2nd viewing.

I have watched three seasons of it. The first season was not bad because it was the only thing that we could watch that told us anything about poly. We watched it together and had some laughs but thought it was pretty raunchy and that it probably wasn't "appropriate" in a lot of places. I watched the next two seasons because I got them cheap when Blockbuster went out of business. As the seasons went on, I kind of wondered if it was really a good thing for me to watch. I have to be very careful what I feed my brain. Garbage in = Garbage out for me. I gave up horror movies and books many years ago for the same reason. I guess for me it was kind of like the decision whether or not to read "Harry Potter". For me, it really was best not to go there.

Watched the first two seasons once. Don't really wanna watch again. Too much Compound mess!
 
Well, I have made it up to season four, rewatching the series. A couple of things I have noted:

1. Bill can be a real jerk sometimes.
2. For a family that is trying to keep their plural marriage a secret, a whole lot of people seem to know about it. (Neighbors, the church, the DA, the FBI, Indians, in-laws, outlaws, etc). It's almost like nobody noticed that Clark Kent looks a whole lot like Superman.
3. What happened to Teeny?

The first teeny went off to sunmer camp. When she came back from summer camp she was a different actress. Then she went off to live with Sarah.

The thing about Big Love was that there was always supposed to be such a little time between each season that they kept messing up with the growth of children, for example Joey and Wanda's baby hardly grew at all when it should have and Teeny went through puberty and grew so much that it did not seem reasonable to pretend only a short period had passed, so they cast a still pre-pubescent girl to take over the part, but there was a very negative reaction to her, mostly because of the inevitable rumours that they replaced Jolean Wejbe because she wasn't pretty enough, if wasn't true of course but when has that ever stopped anyone?
