I was watching a video earlier that rolled to a Family Feud clip that contained this segment - I love the opponents reply: Polygamy on Family Feud.
... the high pitch of the cries in response to "two women" gives me the impression that there were plenty women who liked it.
My personal belief is that the vast majority of the opposition out there is reflexive on the part of those who voice it -- and their negative pronouncements have as their primary purpose ensuring that no one in their world would consider them outside the mainstream. In other words, it all comes down to getting approval from the world, but in a relaxed atmosphere in which people let down their guard they are more likely to indicate that they really don't care what other people do -- and may even want to do it themselves. That was great, thanks for posting. Something I noticed is the audience seemed to like/agree (a lot) with two women. I doubt it was mostly/only men, so there must have been a sizable number of women who liked it and were not instantly offended, or at least kept quiet if they were. Some women may like the idea as a casual theory/joke... until it becomes serious; but if thats the case, it might speak to her innate nature vs culturally trained reaction. Watching it again, the high pitch of the cries in response to "two women" gives me the impression that there were plenty women who liked it.
