Didn't know where to post this, but I figured since this is the off topic board, I thought it would be ok.
Ok, Holidays are here and usually I go to my sister's house; because one she's an awesome cook and two and perhaps more important.. I hate my cooking. But this year she has sooooooo much stress with her family that I didn't want her doing all of the cooking alone. I'm always there to clean up and do prep work for her, but the hard work she does. So she mentioned this year, instead of an actual sit down diner she'd like to make an appetizer diner, I ABOSOLUTELY LOVE THIS IDEA, BTW... where she'd lay out several different goodies.. bruchetta, chilli, pigs in a blanket (all the kids love those) and so on.. finger food. Now, I can bake.. I've got dessert covered! But the cooking I'm not so confident in.. so does anyone have any easy finger food recipes????? No allergies to deal with.. just a bunch of picky little eaters! I want to lighten the load as much as I can for her. Thanks in advance for all the input!

Veggie trays and fruit trays are always good.

I usually make wrap sandwiches and everybody loves those. Everybody makes them differently, but the way I make mine is to spread softened cream cheese on a flour tortilla. Squirt on a few drops of dijon mustard and spread it to make it even. Then I put on swiss cheese and some kind of deli meat, usually turkey. Then I add green onions, sprouts and fresh spinach. Roll it up tight, stick some toothpicks in and cut it to the length you want. For appetizers, I would cut them about 3 inches or so. Repeat as needed. You can really make it with just about any kind of sandwich in mind.

I'll let you know if I think of anything else. These days, you can google just about any kind of food a get a good recipe for it.
I hope it goes well for you!

Thank you, I love your idea..
I've checked online, but I'm getting overwhelmed and not finding alot of info on how people enjoyed the recipes.. that's why I decided to post it here, cause I know, these recipes will be coming from those who most likely have served it to their families!
Thanks again,
V

Devilled eggs are pretty easy and always po[pular. You can even buu the eggs hardboiled and already peeled at the grocery store. Just slice them in half and scoop the yokes into a bowl. Add a bit of mayo and mustard... maybe some sweet pickle relish to taste Stir well, then scoop back into the hollow of the half eggs. Easy enough for us fellas to try our hand at even. *GRIN*

Hi guys.. wanted to say thank you for all of the advice. Christmas was delicious. I made Chilli (my sister's recipe), I did brushetta, kialbase (spelling) with peppers and onions, Brazilian pulled pork (that's my own recipe and a family favorite), made meat melody with veggies (roasted meat til tender and rosted veggies in a suttle gravy), Brazilian sausage and veggies on a stick, pigs in a blanket for kiddies, corn dogs for the kiddies and baked chicken nuggets for the kiddies. For dessert I made home made peanut butter cups, chocolate ganauche filled puffs, fried dough rolled in cinnamon and sugar with caramel and chocolate drizzle, chocolate cake with cream cheese filling and vanilla pudding icing, pumpking pie, pecan pie, coconut pie, cheese cake NY style, cherry pie, peach cobbler and ice cream of course.. we over cooked a bit.. there was only 16 of us there. But boy was it a delicious night! Thank you all very much for your advice, I trully appreciate it!
