New PM Pin

I am in the process of getting a PM pin made. Probably 100 in the initial run unless there are a LOT of pre-orders. It will be a lapel pin sort of thing, suitable for wearing on shirts, suitcoats, hats, etc. Gold with enamel coloring or somesuch. Cost to BF members should be $5-6/ea post paid. The size will be either 3/4" or 1", though I'm not certain just how that measurement is taken.

The design I'm working with at this point is below. Notice that the two female circles are NOT intertwined. As BluGrnIz4U pointed out in the T-shirts thread, we don't want to confuse the issue by implying THAT!

Options being considered:
** Size? 3/4" or 1"
** Coloration? Just enamel? Or with that filled laquer look. I like the latter, but ... a bit more expensive and, I am told, the clear coat covering stuff can go bad over time. Still, I think it would look cooler.
** Color, I guess, if you think another set of colors would be better.

Will there be any proceeds that go to Biblical Families and or Cecil. For those who want can the female circles be intertwined to imply that the females can be intertwined.

Is the price before or after shipping and handling. For instance if someone orders more than one do they still have to pay the same price per pin?

(I am not saying I am going to order any [at the present time] or not going to order any, I just want to know. Maybe I will order them when I leave the city, months or years from now)

at 5 or 6 bucks apiece, it is obvious that cecil is going to make a killing on these and should provide free shipping

Postpaid. As originally stated.

Should about break even at a 100 initial order. Would make a few cents each if I could order 250 or more, but that would be a LOT of cash. I mainly want one for myself, so am willing to invest and make them available to the rest of us as well, 'cause it will cost a bundle to get just 1 made.

Had other observations privately that some prefer the intertwined version, signalling that as a family we are involved with each other, NOT the Mormon version where there are two separate families that simply share or split a husband. And if some wanted to interpret it as signalling sexual involvement, that would be their problem, not ours.

So that option is up for grabs as well. But it would have to be one or the other. I don't anticipate having the money to invest and then hold inventory on both styles.

You probably should do the split style because those who want them intertwined can use a twist tie after they get it but those who want them split cannot split the intertwined ones as easily.

I was hoping you and Biblical families would both make a profit. But I figured it would cost more than $5 to ship from Canada unless it is so tiny you can use cheap rates like regular letter prices or something.

Anyway my vote does not count for much because I probably would not order until I graduate.
