First of all, there is always a whole lot of information that is not visible to us outsiders. So it’s probably going to be much more than I have imagined.
The negotiations are being far from fruitless. Every message that is being passed back and forth is being tracked. Hidey-holes and chain of command are being exposed. The next round of bombing will have much better intel than we had the first time.
Munition stocks get old and need to be replaced at some point. We’ve been carrying literally tons of this stuff over there in preparation for the next round. Rotating stock by using up the stuff that was approaching its pull-date.
Trump tried to arm the Persian populace (the Islamic regime are Arabs), but the Kurds didn’t pass the weapons along, part of the reason that there was no uprising. I don’t know how, but this time will be different. They’ve learned.
I think that taking out their electrical grid and the bridges are an absolutely last resort if we cannot decimate the entire regime and every heir apparent. Getting rid of them and the entire IRGC Is going to be absolute priority. I will repeat, we have much better intel now, which presumably includes a huge number of assets (people) on the ground that want to help us.

Round 2 will just make the first round look like a practice session. We are much better prepared this time.

Some of the Israeli news sites are reporting Israel intelligence has passed on a lot of intel to the US command. Apparently there are some in the Iranian military that are admitting their days are numbered. The US and Israeli forces will eliminate the remaining hardliners to get a deal.

Remember that there are two Iranian militaries.
The IRGC, whose sole purpose is to protect the regime, and the regular army.
If the IRGC Is destroyed the regular army will support the moderates. I imagine that they already do, but can’t prevail against the IRGC presently.
