Support I need to talk to someone to

Hello. I'm looking for someone I can talk to help me work through something. It is sexual trauma related. Though I was the victim, I don't know how to feel about it. I'm in no way wanting to seek anything legal. I just need some help.

Why not standard therapist? Or specialist?

At least you should get recommendation.

Honestly, it's very sensitive. I don't have spare money for more therapy. Lol. The VA only covers so much also. I need someone Christian also.

Best thing I know is to turn to God and ask him to heal you. He can make the dead rise, he knows how to make us whole both physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
It will take time but if you continually pray and ask him to help you heal from whatever it is, he will help make you whole whether it be through providing experiences you need, words you need to hear, or a change of mind and heart. I know personally he has helped heal me and provided for my various needs so I know he can do the same for you.

I did some some experiences I would consider traumatic.

Trauma looks to me like some open emotional/mental wounds which implies somebody who can make you feel accepted and help you reconsider how you see situation.

I don't why helper needs to be Christian. You can always talk with pastor from nearby place.

If you are already diagnosed with a mental health issue, it shouldn't be too difficult to get in or ask for a community provider if the time lag is too much. They ask about sexual trauma at each annual physical.

There is a massive difference in help and council from a Christian and a non Christian. You need someone with faith, and someone who understands the spiritual world, because it's all related.
Only if he has "spiritual senses". Otherwise, I don't see point.

@RuppertB needs to say way more. Why is he asking us instead of doing Google, Bing, Brave whatever search?

He absolutely does not. He has a sensitive situation that he's asked for someone to talk to about. He does not need to tell a bunch of strangers on the internet all the details.

That’s funny, he could end up with an AI program.

@FollowingHim please send him my phone number, unless someone else is available.

I have removed the new user restrictions on @RuppertB's account, so you should be able to start a private conversation and send it to him yourself - tell me if it doesn't work.

If there is anyone else who feels they could help @RuppertB, please start a private conversation with him.

@RuppertB, if you do not receive any useful contacts from people in the next few days, post here again saying you've got no responses yet.

Because cause of pain and trouble are emotions and mindset. Neither can be directly influenced, but can indirectly. So he needs someone to teach him proper skills.

And since required skills are from pschology and psychiatry. What both have with Christian values?

For me, best teacher so far is ex Indian monk currently working as psychiatrist. His understanding of how mind really work is fantastic.

"Ex Indian Monk?" If this guy is a Christian, O.K., maybe. Most Pastors are trained counselors. You probably have someone close.

Off course not Christian. Again, as explained in post number one thing is understanding how mind works which requires no religious background.

If you have cancer does it matter is your doctor Christian or Hindu? Or what trully matters is how good in healing he is?

Depends entirely whether the problem is completely physical or somewhat spiritual. Just forget I said anything. Without knowing anything it is impossible to make a good call.

I consider any reduction of symptoms victory. Fixing cause isn't important in short term. Giving hope is more important.
Wow

People who recommend professional therapists should evaluate the following movie.

Since the following verse is true, then many well grounded in the word believers should be able to help our brother. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped for all good works.

@RuppertB,
I recommend that you find a man that you trust with handling of the Scripture and ask him for his help. While being aware
in the multitude of counselors they are established. A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word spoken in due season — how good it is! (Proverbs 15:22-23).

In worst case we are dealing with depressive or suicidal person who has already tried 10+ "solutions" whose effect was nil. He needs quick win.

Such person possibly won't survive it's will really work this after 6 months or it will be be "slighty" worse before it gets better.
