I could care less about bad grammar

Can we care less about the labour it took to analyse our American behaviour whilst setting about to antagonise us? You need to recognise that we were not taught to socialise under the friggin British tendency to avoid the letter Z and then add the letter U to places it doesn't belong.

Oh, and we prefer to butter our biscuits, or dip them in thick, heavy gravy, not dunk them in our tea!

God bless the USA!

:p
In case any didn't get it, let me translate.

In America, we spell things the correct way:
antagonize
Behavior
Analyze
Recognize
Socialize

It was a lighthearted dig at the Commonwealth.

I care about logic. I'm not patriotic about language and measurements, and I don't set out to antagonise people (though I am very good at doing it unintentionally!).
I can relate. Some might think I'm a bore, and some might think I just like provoking people. I too like logic. I like discussing thought provoking controversial issues because where one draws the line or how those debatable subjects are understood is where the rubber meets the road, or faith and belief get converted into substance or action....or at least get firm enough to be defined. Wishy washy lukewarm is less likely to change then someone on fire and open to (as in actively seeking) a better understanding.

In America,
There is a good chance that you are referring to the United States of America.

Part of North America spells them in French, while in Central and South America.......

:D

And I know you and you have never judged me for bad grammar so thank you.
People need to know never judge someone for this as you never know how much a person has struggled with in there life.
I came out of school not been able to spell all through my life I have struggled with this to learn in late life I have a learning disability.
I am very proud of myself to come this far in my life.

Ever been tested for dyslexia? It's a very interesting study. I think something like upwards of 10% of any population has some form of it (I'll check my stats later). It can be overcome with some good training.

Interestingly, during lockdown a whole lot of parents discovered that their children had dyslexia. The schools hadn't picked it up. There is a private company that helps children with dyslexia and by the end of lockdown they were booked 3 months in advance which has never happened. Lots of parents chose to homeschool too as they saw that the school wasn't teaching their children well enough. So I'm not surprised, Tina, that you came out of school not being able to spell. You should be proud, you've done very well.

Dysgraphia is a thing too. It's a learning disorder similar to dyslexia, but with numbers. Numbers can be transpired, reversed, etc.

Stateside, most schools don't really test for it. Youngins get tested for learning impairments in reading, but not necessarily dyslexia specifically. I'm not an expert, but it seems to be genetic.

Fortunately good spelling is not a salvation matter, as the Wycliffe Bible tells us clearly:
Romans 10:9 Wycliffe said:
That if thou knoulechist in thi mouth the Lord Jhesu Crist, and bileuest in thin herte, that God reiside hym fro deth, thou schalt be saaf.

My pastor shareth that verse yesterday, as he leadeth one of my son's friends, to recieveth Christ as his Lord and Savior.

I use the "Edit" link all the time. I find myself proofreading all my mistakes; things like there when it should be their, or vice versa. I know the people here are not very judgmental. I don't know that I could do a search to find all the places that I used "could care less", but I do know that I could write a script that could replace every instance of "could care less", with "couldn't care less".
