How will the church be prepared?

How about joining and building up an advocacy network (like Truth Bearer) or starting your own (I know this is a bit of representation group but it is not an advocacy group is it?) With media awareness instruction for those who can and wish to talk to media, write articles magazines or even just dealing with Churches? And unite in a way that doesn't necessarily mean you all have to move to the same area to create a church. If you can unite behind an organisation name, rather than a denomination you can get your voice heard as a united effort. Like Principal Voices with the Fundamentalist Mormons.

I think this is a very good idea
Although, groups such as "Truth Bearer", have their own definition of what polygyny should be. Not to say that we don't have our own definitions but for many of us, a more patriarchal approach is needed. It is also a fact that Mr. Henkle doesn't work well (or at all) with other groups. We would either need to start our own advocacy group or join with one who shared our perspective on the issues of both patriarchy and polygyny.

In my area, there are no known polygyny friendly churches or home fellowships. This is true for many of us. How do we "assemble ourselves together" when this is the case? We also don't always share the same doctrinal beliefs. On minor matters, I don't see a problem with disagreeing but IMHO, we need to be in agreement on the major doctrinal issues. Matthew 12:25 comes to mind.

If an advocacy group were to formed, the political action side of it would probably bear the most fruit in groups which have a strong belief in small government. Parties such as the libertarians and the constitutionalist would be more prone to accept the idea of decriminalization because most people in these groups are more used to independent thought and don't nessisarily feel compelled to "tow the party line".
The tenants of such a group would most likely need to be based in faith, but open to members of all faiths and of none. There are those in the secular world who can plainly see the value of patriarchy. Association with a group which works toward their common interest may even lead them to a place where they can finally accept God and His wisdom.

I disagree, there are such groups already with Pro-Polygamy which is open to all, PV which is specifically Mormon and plenty of Polyamory groups to cater to the secular people. What about one that clearly supports and deals with Christians? As we see with Fairlight's letter campaign, making clergy aware of Christian Polygamy's organised strength is more important than being inclusive and looking for opportunities to convert more secular Poly minded individuals. The Poly's are NOT the problem, the Mono only culture of mainline Christianity is.

Hi Bels.
Your point is well taken, but one arm of such an organization could act specifically as a Christian advocacy group while another arm reaches out. There are so many people of nonchristian beliefs who also believe in poly. While we stay in our own groups, we lack the strength of unity. Perhaps two groups should form. One with the specific purpose of representing Berean Christianity and the other to represent a unified interfaith effort to liberate marriage.
