Biblical Families is not a dating website. It is a forum to discuss issues relating to marriage and the Bible, and to offer guidance and support, not to find a wife. Click here for more information.
I'm having trouble with my private messages. My messages are getting stuck in the outbox and not being sent. Also when I click on a member to send a pm to it says something like receiptant not found? Please help.
Hi Michelle, you can always reach us at staff@biblicalfamilies.org
I'm just did a PM test to my wife and it worked fine. Remember, with Private Messages, they stay in your Outbox, unless the recipient logs in to his BF account AND reads them. Only then do they leave your "Outbox". So if a person isn't signing in any more, they won't see your PM, and it stays in your Outbox. They are "sent" when you click on Submit - so it's not like your email Outbox.
We'll do a little more checking, but the site and messaging seem fine as far as we can see.
lissa and michelle,
Well I guess we all learned something because I didn't know that either. It happened to me too and I thought I had did something wrong too. I mean how many people have posted the same response twice and still do not know how she did it? I am in good company!
Yea, another confession, from a like-minded Sister In Christ. I'm feeling better about myself already. Okay, it's time for our Brothers in Christ to make their confessions about knowing this. Any brave brothers willing to admit this?
Hey,
I am just an ole oil field hand. We still use things like pens and pencils to write with, paper to write things on, communicate with radios and some of us even have fax machines. I for sure am not some computer guru. I did not know about the PM messages either. Was wondering why when I sent a PM it did not go right away. Learn something new every day.
Well, I will confess (not TOO self-serving ) that I DID know about the Outbox Effect...
but probably only because I once sent one and then noticed later that it was STILL in there, only to have it disappear almost immediately after observing the "ONLINE" banner over the picture of the intended recipient! After that, I can honestly claim I managed to figure it out...
Which means the two that were still there in my outbox 9 months later, were never recieved and therefore it was safe to delete them since they were probably not applicable anymore. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
I'm so glad that some responses came back from the men on this subject. With that being said, I guess the age-old question who is smarter men or women, the answer would have to be the computer. (All, but Mark, because he didn't experience these computer problems and Maria called him a "genius.")
