Hello everyone, just a brief introduction. My wife and I through Gods wonderfully appointed circumstances have come to an understanding of plural marriage. One great contributor was the book "The Great Omission" which I guess many of you are probably familiar. As a husband and leader who was wanting to be very careful about the topic I was very very surprised at the outcome of our conversations as a couple. The topic has actually opened up a much greater understanding of each other and increased our intimacy, its also helped us understand each other much better. I never would have predicted that outcome. So we are at a very settled biblical truth. We've always been truth seekers and at times even as we rightfully have fellowshipped with our friends there have been topics such as this one and perhaps conditionalism, where we have diverged. I feel like some of the established traditions need to be held up to scripture and re-evaluated. Long story short we know this truth, and were happy to know it. We've played out certain scenarios in our heads and through our conversations and we can see the barriers (not scriptural- just life circumstances, and our culture and personal histories) that exist for us. So things will remain status for now. We both agreed that God would have to create a very special circumstance for that to occur for us and that were perfectly happy with that. So we are here to learn and fellowship and feel some freedom in Christ with any believers that embrace this truth. Were not a young family but not older either. We have several children ranging in age from toddlers to adults if that gives you an idea. I feel very blessed to have found this forum and for God just revealing his truth in a very pure way to me and my wife. As a husband its very fortifying when your helper is such a strong lady as mine is and has no issues embracing truth, such a blessing. We look forward to sharing and learning.
