Hello from Idaho...

Hello all,

We are Josh and Marly and we live in southern Idaho. We are a family of 5 soon to be 7 (twins on the way) children, and so far just the 2 of us in the marriage. We believe that God instituted 2 kinds of marriage, one is what we have now, and one that we will have if he ever blesses us another wife for our family. We are not looking for a SW, but we are open to whatever Yahweh wants for us.

We are Messianic Believers, and Sabbath keeping Torah zealots ;) and look forward to getting to know all of you. We are very impressed with what we have seen so far in our reading on this forum, and feel blessed to have found others of a like mind, to share our thoughts with. Unfortunately not really anyone we fellowship with or are friends with support the concept of Biblical Marriage (Ploygyny) so we feel pretty lost in the crowd most of the time. We do have one set of friends who are also believers as we are and have recently been blessed with a new wife (a widow and her 5 children) and they have been a great inspiration to our family.

Our children are being raised (home schooled) to believe that God has no problem with plural families and can quote stories from the Bible to back up their take on it.

That's enough for now, thanks for being here. Have a great day.

Welcome and Blessings!

Welcome & Blessings!

So very nice to have you here. I enjoyed your shared testimony, and look forward to gleaning godly nuggets of wisdom from your family. :) Take care and go forth in His Might, Power & Love and be Blessed along the path that Yeshua leads you on!

Warm Wishes for Yeshua's Provisions, leading & Peace,
Faithful Servant :)

Likewise, Josh and Marly - welcome!

(It is with a bit of disappointment, and some irony, that I point out that your family is in closer proximity to mine than most here so far. ;) We need to see some more light here in the Rocky Mountain West!)

Hello I am Rev Gill I am glad you have come to this awsome site, where we may not always see eye to eye, but hey we're family! :D

Josh & Marly,

Are you still on the site? What part of Idaho (specifically)? We are just north of Boise by about 30 minutes.

Would love to chat!

Welcome to Biblical Families. We are in a very similar situation it seems, just met a family in Maine who believes in plural marriage, everyone else thinks we are heretics. Anyway, my wife Sara and I just had our 5th child last weekend. We educate our children at home and love the openness and Biblical focus of this forum. Though we may not all agree on all things at all times, we are one body in Christ and use God's Word as our guide for faith, doctrine, and obedience. I also have no thoughts of seeking another wife to be added to our family, but if God leads us to enter into plural marriage, we will obey.

I recently wrote an article for the BF newsletter, not yet up on the site but I would be happy to get it to you if you like. Welcome, we hope you find encouragement in pursuing the truth of God's Word in all things and we look forward to what you will offer to the body of Christ also.

Wow, I'm gone for a couple days and there are 3 new families on BF?! Awesome! Welcome!
