My wife of almost 18 years and I grew up in a VERY conservative and legalistic denomination. We've since left that denomination cult and have started thinking and studying for ourselves, which mainly started when we seriously began thinking about what to teach our kids (5 kids, 3 miscarriages, and lost 1 child).
We've always been staunchly opposed to divorce, and I'm 99.9% convinced that monogamy-only teachings have caused a lot of problems in our culture (and marriages). Similar to this, we were introduced to Christian Naturism a few years back and now believe that "purity culture" is largely to blame for our pornified and highly sexualized culture. When some Christians we were worshipping with a few years ago found out that we were Naturists, we were kicked to the curb...HARD. A lot of the blowback from that was caused because I had told a close family friend that I didn't understand how most Christians were totally fine with divorce (and usually remarriage) but not polygyny. Somehow, this instantly made us hedonistic nudist swingers to them (which we are definitely not).
I've known of this group/movement for a few years, but I could hardly contain myself yesterday while watching this video:
I have a lot of empathy for this lady's situation, but I have so many questions like...

- It sounds like these "influencers" are working with a management company that's probably Christian. Couldn't they find an example of a Godly marriage to promote instead of one containing adultery and/or fornication?
- Is this woman "living in" adultery, or is adultery a one time sin? I was taught the former growing up, but I haven't figured out where I stand on this.
- For a Christian, she seems very sympathetic to and maybe even encouraging of homosexuality. Am I just being too judgemental or did I misunderstand?
- How can this be openly discussed without any indication of anything being in opposition to Scripture when polygyny gets such hateful treatment?
