I’m asking for a close friend.Did you just have a baby?
Hair loss after having a baby is completely normal. During pregnancy your hair stops its normal shedding, and 3 months postpartum your hormones change and cause that loss to occur. Which means that you lose a year's worth of hair in a month. It can look really awful but I promise you it's completely fine.
This all looks very interesting! ThanksMy hair thinned at times over the years, but hormone balance is a HUGE part of health. Because my husband experienced some health challenges this past year we got a crash course in how important your microbiome is.
YOUR GUT IS EIGHTY PERCENT OF YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM, AND MANY HORMONES ARE MADE IN YOUR GUT!!
I recommend you get the book Super Gut and start with the protocol to get rid of microbes that may be causing you problems.
Then look here at how to feed your body as a woman based on where you are in your month.....or even if you've gone through the change.
File attached is info on how to make gut healing body restoring cultured milk that even lactose intolerant people and people with dairy sensitivities can use.
Finally my sis recently shared a women's hormone kit with me that looks really interesting!
And last but not least there is a hair regrowth formula with tons of good reviews that my daughter sent me.
The hair regrowth formula is on sale today!!
You're more than welcome! This all looks very interesting! Thanks
Oh I started doing this too! I actually have a severe allergy to soap and over the years it just got worse until I gave up and looked for an alternative. I found a girl whose hair is similar to mine and did the ratios she suggests and it works great, but my sister (who also decided to try it) has a hard time with the baking soda and is more sensitive to the vinegar. Just using conditioner works better for her.I stopped washing my hair with store bought products. I wash just once a week using baking soda to wash and apple cider vinegar to condition. It seems to have made a big difference for me with hair breakage/thinning, itchy scalp, etc.
My hubby had an itchy scalp years ago....and some soaps would really tear it up. My sisterwife figured out when some of her Kombucha made vinegar that it was an outstanding hair rinse and both of them say their scalp and hair feels better. It seems to have made a big difference for me with hair breakage/thinning, itchy scalp, etc.
Baking soda and vinegar are also great for laundry. I've used it to wash men's laundry, dirty/old-smelling towels, and pet blankets.Oh I started doing this too! But if you want your hair to be generally cleaner and not have the gross greasy feel you get with soap, I recommend it.
Not sure if it helps with hair loss but you can always try it.
I did know a hairdresser though who said a lot of her clients complain about hair-loss. Her response was to ask them how long they left soap in their hair and how well did they wash it out. She said that since it has chemicals in it, it can lead to hair loss if not washed out properly.
I've heard tea tree oil can help with hair loss. Maybe coconut oil as well?
I never thought about soaps and shampoos, but I was just talking to my sisterwife about fabric softener and I am pretty sure that contributed (if not actually being the cause) of the first time my hormones got wacked about 24 years ago. I'm sure my mom in law meant well gifting it to me, and the baby clothes were soooo soft, but the fragrances are chemical, as well as the active ingredients. Recently I used some lotion I was gifted and had a headache that lasted all night and half the next day that I believe was a reaction to the artificial fragrance. I rarely ever have a headache, and DON'T care to try again and see for sure if that was the cause.I'm highly sensitive to soaps and most shampoos as well. I tried baby shampoo for a while, but even the smell from it was too strong.
I use regular free and clear laundry soap and then use a few drops of essential oils for fragrance...or a few drops of four theives blend if the load had dirty or smelly anything (kids socks....smelly wash cloths got hot water AND theives!)Baking soda and vinegar are also great for laundry. I've used it to wash men's laundry, dirty/old-smelling towels, and pet blankets.
Fabric softener is the worst for me! I didn't realize things like that could cause hormones to be out of wack, I attributed my sensitivity to my hormones being crazy. I recently found a brand of fabric softener that doesn't bother me much at all, the same with Dove sensitive skin and Sauve clarifying shampoo. I had given up on over the counter products all together until I found these specific brands.I never thought about soaps and shampoos, but I was just talking to my sisterwife about fabric softener and I am pretty sure that contributed (if not actually being the cause) of the first time my hormones got wacked about 24 years ago. Theives blend is good for killing smells like chicken gut smell after cleaning birds...sheep cud smell if it gets on you. You get the idea.
The things I shared earlier in this thread have seriously changed our lives!Fabric softener is the worst for me! I didn't realize things like that could cause hormones to be out of wack, I attributed my sensitivity to my hormones being crazy.
We use baking soda in our laundry too!Baking soda and vinegar are also great for laundry. I've used it to wash men's laundry, dirty/old-smelling towels, and pet blankets.
I like brushing with baking soda too!My teeth have never been whiter or felt more clear of plaque since I stopped using regular old toothpaste and switched to baking soda."
It worked because I'm about to try it!We use baking soda in our laundry too!
Actually I'm starting to feel like a baking soda advert to the point it disturbs me.
"Are you tired of that thick grease that comes from your shampoo? Are your clothes smelly, run ragged and through? Are your teeth never fresh despite brushing ten times a day? Switch to baking soda today!"
"My hair has never looked shinier or been so greaseless and clean as it was once I switched to baking soda!"
"My laundry comes out perfectly clean and we have saved so much money since I switched to baking soda!"
"My teeth have never been whiter or felt more clear of plaque since I stopped using regular old toothpaste and switched to baking soda." *Wink wink and a cheesy smile with a shine*
I'm so ashamed... But it's all true.
Word of mouth advertising is the best!It worked because I'm about to try it!
I love how this thread is beginning to sound like a multi-leveling marketing scheme
It really isWell, I completely fell for the baking soda advert that @Ruth Elizabeth presented! I've been using baking soda on the dishes, cleaned the oven and fridges with it, bathed my pets with it (now the dog smell is gone), and I just used it on my hair, skin, and nails. It's so addicting
