Biblical Families is not a dating website. It is a forum to discuss issues relating to marriage and the Bible, and to offer guidance and support, not to find a wife. Click here for more information.
My name is Angela, and I live in the southeastern US. I’m interested in learning more about polygamous marriages from some of the experts here!. I’ve always felt drawn to this sort of arrangement, as I’ve found monogamous relationships aren’t fulfilling for me. I think it’s just who I am.
Anyway, I look forward to getting to know people here! Please feel free to reach out! I’m a bit nervous!
Inspired by someone else's Retreat Commercial, have you yet learned that we are having an annual national conference retreat in Oklahoma in less than 2 weeks? If you're sincere in your quest, it could be worth looking into, because you'll never find a more comprehensive group of like-minded believers. And many people will be coming from the southeast if you need a ride.
Welcome to BF. There's a weekly women's chat on Monday I beleive at 6:30 central time. How did you come to learn about polygyny? What draws you to polygyny? What faith background are you coming from?
Thank you Kevin! I will definitely try to make that chat tomorrow evening.
I grew up in a conservative Baptist church.
What draws me? I think the men that are called to this are strong—Biblical headship is strong and that is something I strongly desire in a relationship. I also love the idea of my husband having live for his other wife/wives and watching the joy between them. And I want to experience being a sister wife, to live and be the very best friend to my sister wives. So much love, such a great environment to raise a family. All of the help, and teamwork, and shared joy. It seems so fulfilling and “right” to me.

What would be your Ideal living arrangement? How many sisterwives do you think would make up a well balanced team? Do you beleive that each wife should bring something different to the skill set of the family? What do you do for a living?
Warning I'm nosey, and I like to make people think about things they normally wouldn't conscider. It helps to pop the bubble of preconceived ideas and promotes growth.

I’m not sure what the ideal is. In my mind I think of three or four, but my impressions may not be doable. I’m not sure that each wife needs to have a specific skill set...of course it would be great if that were the case, but I think as long as everyone is in the relationship for the right reasons and there is genuine love, that’s the most important aspect.
I work in supply chain right now...inventory and procurement for a manufacturer. Definitely not how I picture my life going forward though. My parents have both passed, and I have no siblings, so it’s simply a way to support myself . I’m grateful to have those skills that allow me to take care of myself, but I long for fondling my family, whatever it may look like.
