God's Limited Choices

God was faced with a dilemma.

He had already said, making it natural law, "It is not good for man(kind) to be alone."

Adam and Eve had been happily multiplying at every opportunity.

THAT part of things was going along swimmingly, so to speak, except that, well, now there were MORE women than men.

Poor God! What WAS He to do? His choices were really rather limited to the following:
  • Say "I'm up here. You're down there. Sorry about that. I don't meddle in human life."
  • Say "Oops, I made a mistake. Let me change that. A-HEM! It is now just FINE for mankind to be alone."
  • Every so often, do a survey, then bump off the excess women.
  • Every so often, do a survey, then make more men outa mud.
  • Fix the genetics so that the balance would stay perfectly balanced.
  • Run a fetus monitoring process and keep them balanced via Divine abortion.
  • Give us humans the ability to switch sexes at will via some sorta dietary based hormonal supplementation.
  • Say something like "Listen up! You two and you three, turn yourselves into two families. And play nice!"
Read your Bible to find out which happy solution the All-Wise God chose ... :)

Sadly, some in society are still trying desperately to make others work! Good luck with that!

Oh, oh, another option God could have chosen ...

He coulda said, "Scrap this messy 9 months' gestation and birth process for females. All children born that way will be boys. Then, at the appropriate age, each will take an unexpected nap and donate a rib ..."

even if marriage age young adults were 50/50 there would still be an excess of females.

why?
because some young men just are not suited for the leadership of families. we see selfish, lazy, and sometimes not-so-bright guys score wives because, with monogamania, girls know that they have to take what they can get. a parent that recognizes the boys inadequacies can't help steer their daughter away from him because there are no other choices to offer her.
with the poly system they could talk to her about how being a additional wife to a better man would be a better choice.

we used to have a society in which being an unmarried spinster was a subtle shame, or being an unwed mother was a huge disgrace. in jewish society it was a shame to be a man that no one would trust as a son-in-law and thus be forced to remain single but the girls all had options, and yes, character mattered, reputation was valuable. ahh, for the pressure of capitolism in marriage
