Isiah 63:9-10
So He became their Savior. In all their distress, He too was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them. In His love and compassion He redeemed them; He lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. 10 But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit. So He turned and became their enemy, and He Himself fought against them.
Ephesians 4:30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God.
One day - if there isn’t serious repentance - but instead continued rebellion - it’s the raised fist of their Savior they claimed to worship and follow that will be their #1 enemy.
If a husband has a wife - and he tells her I don’t want you wearing short skirts or tight yoga pants. But another man - not her husband - tells her that she looks good in them. If she obeys the man that’s not her husband - is she not provoking her own husband (master) to anger?
That is the state of the religion of Christianity. It’s built around provoking the Creator and the Master.
