If I stop watching Fox News will Obama become a good President? If you ask "how can we afford Obama's health plan?" liberals will tell you to stop watching Fox News. If you criticize anything about Obama liberals will tell you to stop watching Fox News. So if I stop watching Fox News will Obama just go away already? I'll take that deal to save the country!

And welcome to you as well!

Fox-news (like other news channels) often has more debates and opinions and interpretations/comments than news (by percent time.)

Fox-news has a reputation for being "anti-Islamic" compared with other news channels (at least a reputation with one person.)

Have you ever seen someone read through the Quran on fox "news" when they have a debate about Islam, I mean one of the people "bad-mouthing" Islam, reading from the Quran? I heard someone who lived in a Muslim country say something along the lines of fox-news does not accurately portray Islam because if they (non-Muslims who are not Muslim supporters on fox news) read from the Quran they could get in a lot of trouble. According to this person fox-news is very pro-Islamic even when people think they make Islam look bad because of their blatant avoidance (by policy/an unwritten rule of self-censorship) of reading of the Quran from people who are not pro-Islamic. [This is completely different than other news channels policy about the Bible in which it can be freely quoted so long as you explain that you disagree with it and think such and such a section is bad, (but they supposedly will not ever quote the Quran in the way they quote the Bible freely so long as it is with disrespect.)]

He also said something along the lines of that Churches let Muslims come in and speak for a long time and hand out the Quran. But refuse to let him read publicly from the same Quran the Muslim just handed out because it would be hate speech to quote from the Quran because then people would actually know what the Quran teaches about _____ which would be saying hateful things about Muslims. [Apparently those Church leaders must think Allah wrote hate speech about Muslims that is ok to read silently but not aloud.] :? (If anything this person said was true)

Does anyone know if what they said about Fox's approach to the Quran is true?

News usually isn't news it is more like commentary on events for people willingly to stupid to think for themselves. President gives an address and then people spend more time commenting on his address than they spend playing the address. Because people could not possibly be willingly smart enough to comprehend what the president really means.

If the government gave chocolate rations and chocolate rations went from 100 grams/week down to 10 grams/week. They would announce on the news how great the government is for awarding it's citizens with 10 grams of chocolate they are permitted to have per week and ignore the fact that the ration went decreased by 90 grams/week. (I am speaking in allegories.)

I like to watch C-Span because at least you hear what the government says directly (sometimes) instead of what the press says the government says and why the proper interpretation of what they say is that you should become a grape in the wine-press of government prosperity to bring about a golden age of government rule. Almost all Democrats and many republicans have historically had one thing in common the idea that it is good for citizens to become grapes in the wine-press both fox news and the more "liberal" channels can sometimes have bi-partisan agreement on that much.

On C-Span you can watch the Congress meet and discuss, instead of merely people (news commentators who are not congress members) make up false stories about bills to sway the public..... although it seems that someone in congress might sometimes be bold-face lying even on C-span coverage of congress meetings because the two sides say what seem to be irreconcilably contradictory things from time to time.
