Just wondering what people like as music round here?

my list: Casting Crowns, Lecrae, Taylor Swift, Lifehouse, Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry

I listen to rap, some grime, ska, even punk, but that's just me! Maybe only me,lol! :D

I tend to listen to a lot of worship music or what my son calls "Jesus songs!" I have 3 children under 4 and another due in November so finding time for God is difficult. This way I can be doing my normal chores but being more focussed on God and on praising Him. Aside from that I like Taylor Swift, The Corrs, etc and some music that my mother used to listen to like Cliff Richard.

I never listen to music. Never really find the time. The only two exceptions are
1) Children's music - I will dance around the lounge to the Donut Man or something equally ridiculous with the children on occasion, loads of fun!
2) Church worship music, usually old hymns. I listen to myself singing these in the car, around the house, or in church with everyone else... Does that count? :D

It sure does :D

Actually, a funny story from a few nights back. I was running a shift, and there was this kid, he's one of those 'gansta' guys, pretty dirty minded. Anyway, our radio is out, so I had my Galaxy S playing, and atm, the majority of my music is Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson (I usually play secular songs only when at work). He got sick of hearing the 'girly' voices :P and wanted to know if I had any rap. Sure, I said, I've got one, Lecrae. A few moments later, this guy, who listens to like the most immoral, filthy rap you could think of, is bobbing to Lecrae rapping about Jesus' sacrifice, etc. I'll never forget it. I was ready to crack up when he said to me, Hey, I like this one! I can't help but wonder if he actually was listening to the powerful message that Lecrae was pushing. :D

Ceci's rather partial to "Here Comes The Bride"! :o

Not a name we hear in America. I once had a client called Cliff Richard - I thought it was funny and he was completely clueless as to who Cliff Richard was! So then I had to explain who he was and he was giving me the "ok - all righty then" look!

I like contemporary christian songs too. I like the Hillsong music (I love Desert Song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QemZQKKJbRU) and Hillsong kids songs are good for the kids.

bob dylan and kim walker today, tomorrow might be trout fishing in america and blood hound gang.

Oh yeah I am down with that! Tell him I said from one artist to another stay up! That is nice! He should talk to MC Risk! I am sure he would sign him quick!

Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, and Unspoken (friends of ours who recently made the big time with their song "who you are") is what is on our radio and ipods. Singing around the table or in the car, we like hymns, some Christian kids songs. The hymns are my favorite though, the depth of doctrine and worship in some of the old hymns cannot be beat, and my classically trained voice suits hymns better so I can sing them best anyway. I have listened to Lacrae, and enjoy the lyrics but I don't care for rap generally so he hasn't made any appearances on our CD shelf.
