Falling away

I'm not wanting to appear picky but would you please be so kind and define your term "falling away" and what people "have fallen away" from? Thank you. Shalom

I am with you on this James A. my heart aches for what i see people doing these days. The worshiping of other gods is my biggest concern. Most people claim they don't know that they are, so that makes it ok. How long can they claim ignorance and get away with it in G_ds eyes. Not at all i think. Others say they know it but don't care because it is fun. Today is a prime example, they say they are worshiping Christ knowing the other stuff is wrong, but when you participate you are saying it is ok. But we have shared with others about Christ on this day they say. I don't think G_d will be happy that they use another G_d to worship him. Enough rambling about that. One has to ask are they truly christians ? Maybe they are lying to themselves and need to quit with the lip service and truly worship the one and only G_d. Hope this makes sense.

The dragon's tail (I picture a wake like after a large boat or plane....like they are just disoriented and off balance by the sheer size and power for some reason) draws 1/3 of the host of heaven.
I know most people, like the mormons, believe this happened in some pre earth time and/or other place, but the beginning of Revelation says that "these things must shortly come to pass" so we look for fulfillment since the book was written.
The unbelievers wouldn't be counted but we keep seeing a trend in the videos we watch....and it is often said that 1/3 of professing Christians vote left. It also fits our understanding of history, prophesy and the players on the world stage that the same percentage support the state of Israel. I know...the pro group that will not answer the questions and scriptural conflicts with their pro theology on the other thread "Could the USA be the real regathered biblical Israel" will object to me putting both thirds in the same category (being drawn by the dragon's tail) but frankly those that are anti Christ and reject Yeshua have no scripture to stand on affirming them.

Yeshua said "Those not against us are on our side."
The Zionists even reject Jews that are Christian....just saying.

The story of the USS LIBERTY is eye opening indeed.

Having been persecuted by Christians among the sects who more closely than most attempt to follow the scripture's moral teachings, I find such questions kind of quaint. The great body of Christians so called aren't falling away, they never stood to begin with. What you're seeing is that the great facade is falling and they are being whipped by the winds of change because they have no true root in Christ.

What is falling isn't their morals, its the illusions that they had any to begin with beyond being approved of by men.

The corruption of the Western church runs deep, even to the very 'gospel' they teach.

I’d also be interested to know what morals and standards have been fallen from.

In some ways, I fit the description entirely. But, in my defense, I have jettisoned moral baggage that was imposed as divine when I discovered there was no truth behind it.
I remember a saying in the mormon church days of my youth...that if you missed church for three weeks in a row you were on the road to apostacy. I have not been to any kind of worship service since the Tucson retreat last year, and I have been to church services once that I recall in the last going on 20 years. My faith is fine. Yes, I miss the felowship, but I had a lovely conversation with a fellow Christian I never met at Walmart the other day waiting in the checkout line. I make friends where I can.....and a conversation with a stranger is sometimes more edifying then an argument with a friend.

@Joleneakamama The USS Liberty was a electronic spy ship that was monitoring the war. Henry Kissinger was relaying the information straight to the Arabs and the Israelis were getting lambasted. The attack was a remarkable feat of precision and the ship was disabled without being sunk. As soon as it was no longer relaying information to the Arabs the war completely turned around. What the Liberty was doing was an act of war. The US Naval tradition runs deep in my family but the Liberty was not our proudest moment. Kissinger's pursuit of the petrodollar led us to aid and abet the bad guys and we got what we deserved. It is an instance of God cursing those who curse the Jews.

That take is just as fanciful as the standard history which says it was all a big misunderstanding.

That is a telling of that incident I've never heard before. As I have zero personal knowlege of much of history, (wasnt there ...must rely on second hand reports) I really like to hear all sides and keep an open mind. In other words I don't form an opinion about whether O.J. Simpson did it off of media reporting.....EVER!
I figure time is going to prove all things, and I only hope to not be so resistant to the truth I'm sent strong delusion that makes me believe a lie.

There are still unanswered theological questions though....many of them. And no one in support of the state of Israel has addressed them, even when asked directly, and tagged in the question(s).
I am willing to be wrong, but it will be reason and scripture not just repeated claims that will cause a studied and founded opinion to change.
I see too many double standards, even from the messianic scholars here in how they view other people groups and faiths, in contrast to Judaism.
The prophesies about the ten tribes are fact. So are the historical facts about Esau/Edom and the radically different prophesies for his descendants compared to the prophesies to and about the children of Israel.. I cannot un-see what I see.....but am open to a different understanding that harmonizes with scripture and history.

I can understand what your saying. Christain denomation forces there view on you. They do not encourage challenging ones believes. Which make Christians as a whole weaker and more unwilling to study to be approved
