I would have to go with 20 myself, but that is only because my wife is still not on board with it.

I highly doubt that the blend of Messianic, Pentecostal, seeking the heart of YHWH believers that I would love to be a part of exists in my area.

I suppose I've been willing to drive more than 50 miles to get to an airport and hop a couple planes to get to a gathering of like minded believers for a retreat.

But 'church' ? Almost no way that you could mean that would I be induced to go. Polygamy wasn't why I walked away from the institutions, it was just something I discovered well afterwards.

"Church"...no thanks. I wouldn't commute 50 feet. :p Not supporting polygamy is only a small symptom of a much larger disease. I want no part of it.

Church as it should be, a community of believers, well...heck, God willing...I'd pack up and relocate for that. :D In the meantime, since that community is spread far and wide, I'll stick with commuting hours or days when possible to fellowship with other families and attend gatherings. :D

I hear Central Texas looks pretty good this time of year.... ;)

Church is what happens where two or three gather in his name. Nobody needs to travel for that.

Well, if you ever find a perfect church....well...you know.

You should know. I went the last weekend of the Sherwood Forest Faire Festival with me wife and me little one, and it was fun, albeit pricey. Our Bible Study class needs a teacher. I had a thought that maybe I should step forward. Now that I think about it, if I did, I could just invite you for that Q&A you offered. If they didn't like it, I would lose nothing I currently have, except perhaps my seat in the trombone section. Oh yeah! The class would have to modify its format so that I could leave early and get my instrument warmed up. Prayer requests and announcements would have to come last.

Look at ourselves on this forum, even though we all believe in the Bible and the Father, son, we still often have disagreements about what the Word means. More than not we are generally in agreement, no matter what the church teaches or generally believe we will have disagreements with "them".
