Deathbed Witnessing to someone who does not converse well

1. How do you do deathbed witnessing.

Say someone who thinks they are saved but might not be, because all their life God did not seem to be as high a priority as one would think a saved person would have, so it seems they might not have a personal friendship/relationship with God in which they love God or want to love God, but also they possibly could because they sometimes are interested in reading the Bible if someone else offers to read it to them or requests them to read it. I am not saying

2. How do you do deathbed witnessing to someone who seems to have cognitive difficulty. Let's say they are willing to and sometimes even like to listen to Bible passages if you read them aloud but they have trouble with conversation.

3. How do you know if they were saved before they die

Let's say you have an uncertain amount of time which is probably 48 hours but it is anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks but they could recover and have more time and they can physically talk but have trouble with the mental aspects of talking.

Re: Deathbed Witnessing to someone who does not converse wel

When one is on their death bed, we do not have the responsibility of being tactfull or politically correct. I have had the blessed experience of leading may to faith in Christ within days of passing into eternity and others in a similar situation only hardened their heart more.
Your questions:
1. When someone is on their death bed, it is not about a relationship with God, it is totally about faith. The gospel and nothing but the gospel is our message. It is about how God, in the person of Jesus Christ came into the world to pay our sin debt and the only way one can go to heaven with our Lord is through Christ. Receive Him and His redemption and you may go to heaven, reject Him and hell is your certain destination. Make it as cut and dry, clear and certain as possible. Nothing else matters. Pull them out of the fire as a brand from the burning.

2. Read and pray. They don't have to converse with you, but with the Lord. Keep pointing them to Him, He is the Savior not us, we are only messengers.

3. You may never know for sure until we gather on the other side, but my experience has been that those who really believe on their death bed, grasp and rejoice in the gospel much like a drowning man grabs a rope to save him from the water. I have witnessed the removal of fear and great terror and the replacement with the peace of God in moments. I have witnessed men and women in their late 70's and 80's come to faith just days before entering eternity. To hear them say with confidence that they are ready for heaven because God's Word says so, or to testify to the blessed presence of the Spirit of God with them is such a blessing and make our life worth living. I have also witnessed to an 18 yr old young man who only hardened his heart and a month later, intentionally blew himself up with 3 sticks of dynamite. Later that day I stood on the oil spot on the pavement and knew, I was standing in the very spot from which W.D. departed for an eternal hell.

We never know how long a person has to live and neither do they. It is high time for all God's people to live as if eternity is a moment away. All the fluff of life fades into insignificance when we come to this reality. There is an urgency to the gospel that we are often blinded to by the god of this world.
