California Proposition 3 passed. Could be a path to legal plural marriage

So one of the things on the ballot in California was Proposition 3, which passed on November 5. So the law will into effect next year.

It is my understanding this is an amendment to the state constitution and removed the legal wording defining marriage as “One man and One woman” and replaces it with that everybody has a “fundamental right to marriage”.

I am reading some articles that this could be interpreted to allow polygamous full legal marriage between more two people. The new wording does not specify or restrict how many people may enter into marriage, nor does it address what the genders of those persons marrying is. This is very interesting and I will be watching closely how it plays out after it becomes law.

Many California cities are charter ones. They could add new duties to local sheriffs to help with such issues.

Or add no money/automatic firings for public teachers/social workers found.

In the greater scheme of things this was an obscure ruling. But the net effect in California is those charter cities are now reduced to vassals of State government.

It wouldn't change age of consent in California illegal, making any marital relations still incredibly illegal in that situation. By percentage, I'd hazard a guess that those involved in Christian churches and Christian schools have been guilty of as many, if not more, heinous acts against children in the United States than Muslims in the United States.

Nonsense. Islamic polygamist families that move to the US have their marriages recognized and accommodated. What is your basis in law or judicial precedent that says Islamic child marriages won't be upheld by US courts?

Huntington Beach in California has created voter ID law. State of California has lost lawsuit:

I'm not slamming Christians. Entire Christians schools have been shut down over repeated sexual assault cases against students. Plenty of dirtbag self-proclaimed "Christians" exist. Just because someone is Muslim doesn't make them a pedophile, nor is labeling them all such Christlike.

A big part of the problem that some of us here have with self-proclaimed "christians" is that they don't read their own Holy Book, much less understand it.

In contrast, the issue (speaking for myself) that I have with Islam is that too many of them DO read theirs.
