I started this thread for us to discuss the Idaho retreat (let folks know if you may be coming!). The location is an hour north of Boise, if you want the details, drop us a note at retreats@biblicalfamilies.org

My entire family is piling in the van and going! We expect to put on 10,000 miles this summer.

There will be an extra special recreational opportunity for those who are physically up to it, and can stay extra days (Aug 1-3rd).

Hope to see you there, Nathan

Count me and my family in. My wife is expecting again May 19th, so we should have two little ones by then. Assuming all goes well with the remainder of the pregnancy, labor, and delivery; we will be there.

I wish I could attend this, it sounds like a wonderful time! Next time the retreat is closer to the Florida area, I will be making every effort to come out and meet all of you great people.

My family (The 10 of us) is planing on coming, any one know the loacation or any other info yet?

HA HA< Wish we still lived in Boise, would have been easier if we could have met up with people and asked questions in person! Now we live in NW Minnesota in the middle of nowhere...

Laura, Me and hopefully the new additions will be there.

Everyone should have the details by now, if requested. So we are rafting on July 1st-3rd, if you haven't heard. I know a few who are able to stay and do that, let me know if you are interested. We have a bunch of new folks who have asked for information, should be a great time meeting new people.

We would very much like to come to this though we are moving in early June and don't know if all our ducks will be in a row by the end of the month.
If we are able to come we would probably drive out from Minnesota and we would have previously driven straight through but I'm not sure how big of a chunk the little one (9 months, our first) can do in a carseat before it goes sideways. :)

I made our reservations yesterday at the Lodge and we're looking forward to meeting those of you who plan to attend.

I will be there! Rented a car and am splitting the cost of a cabin with others so that the girls and I do not have to squish into a bed that is very expensive! Camping would be fun but would be difficult to pack all the supplies in a small car. Hope o meet lots of new people. I'll be driving up Wednesday night to be there by morning of the 27th and then will be leaving theafternoon/evening of the 1st. Yay!

Good morning all,

Captainjonathan and I, especially me, are looking forward to the retreat! I have been lifting it up in prayer that we all would enjoy the fellowship and teaching that is in store for us. I am also looking forward to meeting all y'all and beginning to develop relationships with many of you. We are arriving sometime on the evening of the 27th. Praying for safe travel for everyone. See all y'all in a few days!

I will be keeping the retreat in prayer. Please join with me in lifting up the needs of families who will be there.

Blessings

Doc

i was wonderring, are any messianic believers, or saturday sabbath keepers, planning to attend the retreat?
There are both Messianics and other Sabbatarians, such as SDA, on the board, though I don't know if any will be attending on this occasion. Sadly, I can't.

The Great Migration is occurring today!

Safe travels and many blessings to all who are making the trip.

You are envied! ;)

How did this go? I really wish I could have made it! We had family here and ironically at the same time, family gone. Keeping watch over the farm and entertaining my visiting sister was fun but the retreat would have been a learning experience.

As for myself and my family, we had a wonderful time and were very delighted to meet all our brothers and sisters in Christ in attendance. Many thanks to John, Nathan, and Bob for putting this together and calling us to meet one-another in person; it was a huge blessing for me and my family. John and Bob gave me much fodder for thought on the topics they presented. I was either inspired, saddened, or cheered by the many stories I heard; but not in easily accessible memory have I participated in discussions so satisfying.

We consummated many friendships that I hope will last for the rest of our lives, and I'm looking eagerly forward to the opportunity to meet in person again, and sooner rather than later. Thanks much to all of you who attended. It was truly a blessing, privilege, and honor to meet you and know that behind the bits of this forum you are real people of God.

Together in Christ,
Steven

Now I'm worried. You "consummated" many friendships? What on earth went down in Idaho!
