I'd want to know what type of jobs that are available and if those jobs are stable, as in you can get good and steady hours and a decent pay. If not then you may very well get 40 hours one week and 2 hours the next week and with little pay sometimes.
If you don't have any felonies there are a lot of Jobs out here. But I am in New Mexico. But man there are a lot of jobs open out here! There are many people with out jobs out here due to them not havin a drivers license or being a felon most of the time they are both. Right now the auto auction is looking for drivers, but can't find a felon free person with a DL to work there. The unions are looking for help once again no felonies. To work at MC D's out here you need a background check. So basically if you got a clean back ground and most importatly want to work then yeah there is a lot of work out here for every skill level.
there are jobs driving trucks. you can live almost anywhere. you will go hungry, never be home, but you will not starve
seriously, in a situation like this i keep telling myself "it only takes one". doesn't matter how many or few there are, i only need one. if i focus on the fact that there are no jobs i will never make it out of bed in the morning.
some of the truck drivers focus on "there are no loads where i am at" and i tell them that they only only need one load out of timbuktu or where ever they are and it just has not been posted yet.
stay far far away from lakewood ohio lololol. ohio in general ranks among the worse states in the union as far as jobs and economy in general. hopefully things get better for all. good luck to you.
There are some jobs out here in Indiana (less than there used to be, though) mostly in the healthcare, customer service, collections, and service industries. If you want to search for jobs in a specific area anywhere in the nation, you can always look at www.careerbuilder.com. I believe it's nationwide, and it is basically a collection of the employment ads in each cities' sunday classifieds section. Hope this helps Ginny!

You might want to go to scjobs website and try to look at Boeing. I know they are going to be needing a lot of people here in Charleston and they are paying really well. Not sure how much or the process to get on with them but I know they are hiring. WIsh you good luck in finding something. I was laid off for a short time but I am back at work so maybe things are turning around. It is just a matter of time before you find something.
We do have some jobs in Tulsa, OK. However we have an HSBC call center that is going to close in September. We have several casino's now that are always hiring and the hotels here are always looking for help as well.
Once my bakery is open we will need 3 full time workers. People to learn the actual baking part and of course someone to wash dishes!
Not sure what you're looking for, but Oklahoma has one of the lowest jobless rates and I know there are a lot of jobs in the Tulsa area. Best of luck and may God guide you to what's best for you.

FYI - my daughter graduates next month. She posted her resume online on Monday and has had several potential employers from Tulsa contact her already.
Sorry to hear that Hugh. There do seem to be jobs in the Tulsa area. As I posted, my daughter has her resume online and has already had several hits. She graduates next month with her BS in financial management.
