A look at Orania

Platitudes are nice but they won't stop your young, soon to be murdered, Afrikaaner daughter from being brutally raped while she stares at the dead body of her father laying on the floor.

That is what many of those people face as a very real daily possibility. The only thing that matters are: what solutions will get them out of that situation.

That young couple speaks with amazement at a world we take for granted today all across middle America. Houses without bars are amazing to them because they live in a world where bars, fences and razar wire are the only thing keeping you alive. Whites on house building work crews are amazing because they live in a world where whites pick garbage in dumps because jobs have to go first to blacks.

He (hubby) would like to hear input from others. His questions are "What are your thoughts on this community and what would you do different if you were setting up a community of like minded people?"

Are you asking about setting one up in the American context or the South African one?

The Amish and Mennonites offer a lot of good examples on how to set up new communities. But the biggest problem is a foundational one not related to methods: 'like minded people'. It is near impossible in America to put together a group that is like minded enough to succeed. But if they are truly like minded, they will find a way.

It's easier in the SA context because they have a common language and culture and external pressure to reinforce loyalty and sense of belonging. The biggest challenges for them are a) being willing to make radical life changes and b) finding workable solutions.

I understand @Patricia C .
I have family that are "gap babies" and my mother has basically adopted such a young lady. She has been her guardian for 11 years, loves her, and expects (Lord willing) to raise her the remaining 6 years until she is 18.
Like I have said in other posts, some think we are racist for believing that the Caucasians are the real descendants of Jacob/Israel, and other people we know (who believe the Caucasian/Israel doctrine, but have leanings to wrong "supremacy" ideology) think we are not racist enough because we believe salvation is offered to all, and Christians no matter what "family of the earth " they came from are all part of the body of Christ.
The segregation that God required of Israel in biblical times was about being separate from wrong living and beliefs. The crime rate in South Africa suggests that there are different ideologies there. The fact that the government is not stopping the violence, and is stealing from the people (by making laws allowing the theft) means they will bring judgment upon themselves.
The unregennerate of the world are the problem, Christ is the solution.
Natural man will easily distrust people that appear to be different (a different 'race') and so segregation happens. Christians with discernment can see the 'inner man,' and trust other believers.

All that said, we all "inherit" from our parents different strengths and weaknesses. The greatest strength I know of is the ability to be honest about the truth, and the lies we have inherited like Jeremiah wrote about.

The Israelites God sowed in South Africa were very blessed, and built that nation. The destruction and burning of municipal buildings is probably being done by a radical minority of the majority race, but the first rule of authority applies. If you are in charge, it is all your fault. Those majority people need to take proper action, clean up the corruption, and do justice, but that is not likely to happen.

The minority people are on the right track of affirming Christianity and right (industrious) living. Hopefully that "light" can spread to other communities.
@steve has made a good point about righteous segregation. It is about accountability for what happens under your roof, or in your community, or on your watch.

The song "One tin soldier" comes to mind.

One cannot get what the one that worked for it has (skills and work ethic) by stealing.

Killing the farmers is no more how to improve the quality of life over there then eating the goose that lays the golden eggs. Especially if (as we believe) those farmers are Israelites.

Some of these thoughts may seem disconnected. Interruptions abound here.

I understand what the situation is. Be it black, white, U.S., or any other country.... wrong is wrong! Two wrongs don't make a right. Segregation, violence, theft, murder, etc... from any side is, from any group of people is not acceptable in the eyes of God so why should it be to his children?
I understand that the people are trying to live and work in a horrible situation but I don't believe this is the way to do it.
This is my opinion, @Joleneakamama asked what we thought. I responded with my opinion.
I think sometimes it’s easy for us on the other side of the planet to see things as very cut and dried, but things tend to get a little fuzzy when it is your own children who are potentially facing torture, rape, and murder. In that situation it’s easier and probably best to error on the side of caution.

@Joleneakamama peace be with you and your family. I will be in prayer for you to find a place in your corner of the world where you will find peace and blessings.

A family from South Africa moved into the house across the road from where I lived about 15 years ago. I got to know the father and he told me that, for a quite a long time after he arrived, he couldn't sleep at night because he would stay awake to guard his family as there were no bars on the doors or windows and no razor-wire fence around the property. He said that he kept machetes under the bed and at various locations in the house for protection. He couldn't understand how we all lived so unprotected and weren't concerned about being murdered, raped, or butchered in our homes. From what I see on the news and in the video link above about SA, it's far worse now. I can understand why those having to live in such an environment would want to live within a segregated community. It causes me to thank God for the privilege I have to not have to live that way; well at least, not yet.

It’s coming. The world is getting more evil by the day. I just hope it takes its sweet time.
I hope the opposite, and actually look forward to the coming changes. I think it's closer then many might guess. Years ago the global financial interests had control of all but 8 nations, now that has dropped to three. When the whore believes she rules the world is when she is going down. The bloodbath continues, but it will have an end. What keeps me hopeful is the history and prophecy that brings into focus the big picture....and the knowledge that YHWH LIVES, and so does Yeshua....and they don't change!

It’s more so the thought of my children trying to raise my grandchildren in an increasingly difficult times that bothers me.

I agree with you for the most part, but I just can't jump in with you on Caucasian Israel. But, we can disagree. I know you are not a hateful person, as we have met personally a while back.:) You treated me and mine with great brotherly kindness.

The twelve tribes decended from four different mothers, two of whom were sisters. The other two were servants.
Do we know anything about the lineage of the servants?
Is it possible that YHWH’s ultimate joke on racism would be that one of them, or both, were other than Caucasian?

Otherwise, what you are saying is, we just don't know. And I agree. Race is not an issue, faith is.

But then again...there are instances in OT where God does...sort of...maybe a little...kinda...encourage wiping out entire tribes or groups of people (enemies of Israel).

I will let others speak to God on instituting that today. I bow out of those considerations.

I think that the next big push will be that Millennium thing.
Surviving, thriving, and expanding the Kingdom by loving word and deed until we are called forward.
