A interesting look at the biblical timeline.

Saw the first one yesterday and enjoyed it. haven't had time for the second yet.

I have watched both and enjoyed the facts brought forth.
I had a bit of an excessive freakishness moment while listening to the explanation about Heber and Peleg. I was driving on I40 through Arizona and just at that moment came to a sign for the next exit. Show Low and *insert drum-roll here*, Heber. ;)

I have been on that section of road, our last trip on I40 went from about flagstaff to Tucumcari NM. where we took state rout 54(I think). That was one of the ugliest sections of road I think I have ever seen!:)

I watched them both and then started following a bunch of other apologetic videos. very cool and nothing i could disagree with.
So much for the infallibility of the KJV.
I've always been under the understanding that there are errors in the KJV. They were just well documented and easily accounted for. But that's probably a gateway for another thread, and one i'm pretty sure we've batted around a few times before.

We are told to be aware of " the scribes and the pharisees" .
Well this is the scriptures that come to mind when I hear that. "How can you say, ‘We’re wise, and the Law of the LORD is with us,’ when, in fact, the deceitful pen of the scribe has made it into something that deceives" (Jeremiah 8:8). I think that is probably one of the reasons we are told to "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (1 Thessalonians 5:21).

Seems to be a hangup with the academic types even today. The more things change the more they stay the same.

I find it crazy how many people will take scripture like Jeremiah 8:8, and go through all sorts of mental gymnastics to try to explain away the obvious meaning (like a really good friend of mine), instead of understanding that in order to get the truth, sometimes one may have to dig a little. If God speaking through Jeremiah said that the scribes had done deceitful things with the law, then it stands to reason (to me at least) that a government issued bible, taken from faulty texts, is going to have some imperfections in it. Although I think that with a good study most of the issues sort themselves out fairly well (usually).
