A Couple is 3 or 4 Right?

Maybe we need a little poly humor section for stories like this.

So I was talking with another pastor, a friend of mine. We have delicately discussed the issue of polygyny before and he totally disagrees with me. Anyway he was telling me about how “a couple days ago” he was meeting with some people etc. Anyway I knew who he was talking about and I knew exactly when it was, it was almost a week ago.

So questioningly I said to him “a couple days ago”?

Yes, he said. After a pause he continued it was maybe three or four days ago.

I chuckled a little and questioned him. So a couple is three or four huh?

Yeah, he says.

Then I asked him, what are you a polygamist or something?

After a burst of laughter he said, a couple is just two and he meant to say a few days ago.

I have a funny one- This one is courtesy of my son. At least i thought it was funny. So I was watching some 80's videos with my kids(something which should be done with caution!) and the song was "A Little Respect" by Erasure- something that is a very 80's nightcluby type music, anyway the singer-so talented, but a guy- was prancing around in a boa and panties on the stage. I told my kids that he is a gay man. My son got very sarcastic suddenly and asked "Does he have lots of boyfriends? Is he a Gayligamist?" All this while rollling his eyes! I said, "hey did you just make that word up." and he said "oh, yes!". After that I couldn't stop laughing and I said- "They are all Gayligamists!!!" My son said-"Why is that legal?" Anyway, just thought it was tooo funny!
