21 Convention - Patriarch Edition

So what I'm hearing is PK did what is now quite standard...berating Christian men as being dreadful sinners who need to man up and submit (pronounced: serve) to their wife. Oh, and your pastor is the fount of all knowledge who knows better than you. Stand up and be responsible is good intentions. But since it never goes beyond self flagellation into real change or actually having authority to do anything nor embraced real masculinity, and since men are the only ones so berated, it is worse than useless.

Of course they've only doubled down on the insanity several times since then. Its tragic that the churches response to loosing the culture war was to buy into the worldview of their conquerers and become some of it's staunches defenders while men of the world (such as the OP) discover the truth.

Yeah, with the small tweak that in the beginning it was more of a simple 'man up' message, but as time went on it became more of a 'and this is what it looks like to man up' message along the lines of what you describe.

Ya that was the camel's nose in the tent. Men seem to be susceptible to that sort of thing; whether it's a pastor, coach or drill sergeant. But they were drilling men for service to women, not to Christ.
