Aunt Jemima pancake syrup was renamed Pearl Milling pancake syrup.

Aunt Jemima had 120 million customers in 2020.

And where are they now?

They destroyed a brand that was built up over 130 years and they're surprised that no one knows who Pearl Milling is?

Go woke, go broke. For real.

@MeganC, your article is satire. It says so at the bottom, and the whole site is a satire site.

A few other sources are carrying the same story. I will look into it.

Also this is just in and is not going to help Pearl Milling...

Interesting. I suspect the story is at least somewhat accurate given the utter absence of any valuation statements for Aunt Jemima/Pearl Milling since the rebrand in 2020/2021.

Prior to the rebrand valuation statements for Aunt Jemima were posted publicly.

Since the rebrand the salvage grocery chain Grocery Outlet has been selling various Pearl Milling products that had expired on the shelf at typical grocery stores such as Wal Mart.

Pepsico posted a 2019 annual report here:

The 2019 report showed Aunt Jemima brands as a double-digit sector of growth.

The 2023 report is silent on the growth of Pearl Milling. Indicative of a decline.

I read it and saw the statement that it was satire.
My opinion was that it is basically true, but written as satire to escape criticism and possible legal problems.
